Here’s how to access it: Open System Preferences, and click Network. I haven’t yet installed the Sierra preview, but I doubt you’ll need a 3rd-party PPTP client, because PPTP is built-in to OS X 10.11, and probably Sierra, too. If you upgraded your Mac to macOS 10.12 Sierra or your iPhone to iOS 10 you might be surprised that PPTP client is not on the list when adding VPN interface. It should be also applicable on the previous version of OS X such as El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks. This isn't a reason to replace your entire network infrastructure, because you are still able to establish a secure PPTP VPN connection with Shimo. Some time ago, Apple stopped the support for its built-in PPTP VPN client on Mac (macOS Sierra 10.12.). These settings include the VPN server address, account name, and any authentication settings, such as a password or a certificate you received from the network administrator. To connect to a virtual private network (VPN), you need to enter configuration settings in Network preferences.
